We lost one of the most joyful wonders of our lives yesterday. In the last 7 months, whenever we had a good day, or an especially good moment, like playing ball or chasing his chicken, which he loved to do after dinner, I would say to Walter, “Not today, Babe, no one is taking you from us today.”
Oh my ~ this is heart breaking CB. Thank you for letting me be part of your journey of love, joy and compassion for your sweet Walter. I am forever grateful to these gentle, loving beasts who greet us with such joy upon each reunion, and who can sense when we need love, compassion and laughter.
